ok so this is the story.
ripped some old cd's using WMP but didnt realize they were being ripped to WMA. after doing this i burnt a data disc with the wma music folders (still not realizing they where in WMA.) well everyone knows what happens next. use the data disc to put music back onto PC but when i proceed to play in my music player it says i must aquire a license before they will play.
umm.... help
heh..
Thanks

Just acquire the licenses. WMP will do it without any problem. No expenses required, but you need an internet connection.

p.s. And next time rip to MP3 (even WMP can do that) or to DRM free Windows Media .WMA files.

Weird errors. May be your firewall is blocking license acquiring?

You may use somebody other's PC to acquire licenses and them remove them using DRM removal software (not sure whether FairUse4WM (http://all-streaming-media.com/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm) works with such licenses).
