Hey,

I'm trying to download this video of my university's marching band playing Lady Gaga songs, and it's on nbcsports.com... here's the URL:
http://hqplayer.nbcsports.com/Player.html?vid=141

It uses MS Silverlight, and through my Temporary Internet Files folder, got a TON of small mp4 files as a result. Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) and DownloadHelper show the same thing, a bunch of tiny little files. The thing is, I can't actually open any of these. They all say there's no data, despite them taking of kilobytes.

So I'm confused here.
Yes, I know you can just record the screen. But the video's gotta reside somewhere on the Internet, it makes no sense that it can't be downloaded.

I've seen other threads in this forum regarding Silverlight. Has anyone successfully recorded any videos from NBC Sports? Because this is very frustrating. If someone could download this, please let me know, I'd love to get the file from somebody!

Thanks

Hmm

http://hqplayer.nbcsports.com/vod/nd2010_100911_01_01/

That has a few ismv files. The problem is that it keeps giving me 404 messages when I try to save or click on them... any idea why? Basically, using Jaksta gave me this csm URL:
http://hqplayer.nbcsports.com/vod/86941b0f-675d-41d4-ad6c-f07b9e64ced9-20100911143130.csm

And the rest was just me messing around. Anyone know anything else about this??

Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) 4 (Jaksta (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Jaksta-Streaming-Media%20Recorder-and-Converter.htm)) supports Smooth Streaming v.1 only. Hopefully Smooth Streaming v.2 support will be added in the nearest future.

And I haven't seen any other programs that support Smooth Streaming yet, so I can only suggest to try to record with screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/)

Hi Guys..

I understand this is a old thread , and things have moved on.

I would just love to be able to capture this NBC sports stream shown a week or so ago. It my Football (Soccer) team , and I would love to be able to keep it as a memento.

http://stream.nbcsports.com/premier-league/?pid=21798

Would be very grateful for any advice anyone could give me on how I may be able to save / capture this single stream. I have "screen Recorded" it , but of course the quality is not very good. Would be so nice to have the 1080p/720p Copy..

Thanks on advance...

I find a article that introduce the method to download video from nbcsports at http://www.allavsoft.com/how-to/download-nbcsports-videos-with-nbcsports-downloader-converter.html

After a test, it really works.

Unfortunately, this does not work at all for the archived NBC Olympics broadcasts throughout these Olympics. I tried each of the soccer events from Wed. and Thurs of this week, and none of them worked.

Therefore, this must only work on NBC Sports Network content, and not for the NBC Olympics content. What a bummer.
