i'm trying to record some of the live sports streams on justin.tv found here

i've tried Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) but it seems to only grab the file for 3 seconds or so then it stops, i am able to grab the archived stuff with replay media catcher just not Live streams

Can someone help? What else would work?

WebVideoCap (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WebVideoCap-Freeware-stream-capture-software-for-HTTP-flash-RTSP-MMS-Windows-Media-streams.htm) can capture HTTP flash video streams only. It doesn't support RTMP protocol.

And for live video streams with chats we recommend to use screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) like Replay Video Capture (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/Replay-Video-Capture-Make-high-quality-recordings-from-anything-you-see-on-PC-screen.htm)

i just checked the Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) RMC, it can capture the live stream right now
all you should do is get RMC 3.01 and update the rtmp plugin :)
give it a try :)

Actually, There was a release this past week to record rtmpe with Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) 3.x. If you have not used it lately, open it up now and it will auto update (assuming you have the newest version ,of course)

I know that Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) and Jaksta (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Jaksta-Streaming-Media%20Recorder-and-Converter.htm) do not show you full RTMP URL, but you may try other RTMP Flash stream recorders (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-Adobe-Flash-FLV-videos.htm).

As of this date, most of the above mentioned programs will have trouble with justintv live streams, because RMC (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) 4 (Jaksta (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Jaksta-Streaming-Media%20Recorder-and-Converter.htm)) is using some sort of token.

Jaksta works about the best, but you must use rtmp record mode, and also you will have to repair the file afterward using jaksta's fix tool, setting the interval value to either 15 or 16 (I forget which).

StreamTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/StreamTransport-Download-HTTP-RTMP-RTMPE-streams.htm) will also work, but the saved file will need even more repair work than just setting the interval value. I've only been able to do the repair manually using several steps.
