About drmdbg.exe
drmdbg.exe allows to extract your license keys for DRM protected Windows Media .WMA audio files and .WMV video files. After extracting license keys you may use drm2wmv or freeme2 (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/freeme2-freeware-lossless-DRM-remover-for-Windows-Media-WMV-WMA-files.htm) to remove DRM protection from Windows Media files.

Older drmdbg.exe version were command line applications, the latest ones have GUI.

We do not host or provide downloads of drmdbg.exe. you can select an input directory (WMV dir) and an output directory (DRM2 dir) before clicking onto the "Multi scan" button. You can also create the DRM2 directory by checking the "Make DRM2 dir" checkbox

I was assuming that it create some files in the DRM2 folder, however this folder is not created. Are they created elsewhere where I can use them with drm2wmv?

I was assuming it was going to create files in that folder then you run drm2wmv [drm wmv file] and it finds the files drmdbg created in the same folder and then undrmed it.


Also I tried putting two drmed wmv files in the WMV folder and drmdbg did the same as before and jus started playing the first file. It never even got to playing the second.

Here are my results as of 5 minutes ago, if it helps:

I could not get any version to work on Vista. I simply get a blank area when I run it.

I DID get it to work under XP.

Sorry for not making it clear. The newest versions are GUI applications, not GUI frontends coming with CLI applications.

I don't really know whether the newest drmdbg can be launched with parameters or not.

A friend ask me to make them up alittle somthing to make there life easyer, not sure if installing a perl engine is an option or not.
I'll go over the script anyway and see what can be done.

Try to un-install every item that has Windows Media in its name.

Have you deleted the DRM folder and re-individualized your OS (note that this will delete all your licences)?

I'm looking for one which will work with wmp9 or wmp10

The latest one starts up, starts WMP but no files are produced, so I though I's try some old ones!
