adownloader automaticaly build the segments file into .mp4 file. If the file is not build completely, redownload the same resolution without closing adownloader, it will automaticaly try to rebuild the video to .mp4 file. I hope it will work

LOL. Its the reverse for me. Livestreamer works like a charm for everything but ffmpeg does not work for sports videos.

You can simply change the container to MP4:

ffmpeg -i 01.ts -c copy -bsf:a aac_adtstoasc 01.mp4

It only takes a few seconds [depends on the file size].

Buddy trust me Livestreamer is best. I have used ffmpeg too and its even worse than livestreamer.

Livestreamer has the advantage of you can play the part which is already downloaded but for ffmpeg you have to download the complete video before playing.

Also from my personal experience livestreamer rarely breaks but ffmpeg breaks a lot .

But if you wanna try it yourself here is the method:

Same process as livestreamer of changing the manifest link, you will just need to change the prefix used , here i have bold the things to be changed:

Livestreamer is best brother... ffmpeg is time consuming and crashes sometime.... in my opnion go for livestreamer.. if you wanna try... see the above opost for ffmpeg command...

This looks like a connection problem. You can try to increase the HLS segment connect and read timeout (--hls-segment-timeout). Default is: 10.0.

Other options that may help:

--hls-timeout
--hls-segment-attempts

Your problem has nothing to do with the Livestreamer application itself. It is a connection problem!

@sscomp... I am sorry... am not a programmer by a long shot. Can you give me a gist of how it works? How can I manually get the same file downloaded? I am just want to try and do the round about route...

So far I have the adobe HDS and PHP installed. Want to get this file thro live streamer. How do I do it? I tried the hlsvariant "link" best -0 video.ts command but its giving me an access forbidden result. Changed the link to https and f4m file m3u8... would be great if you could share an example with livestreamer directly.

I downloaded a movie with adownloader. Movie is a 2 hr one but a few files are not properly downloaded. So the mp4 file plays only for like 20 minutes. I need to download the missing / incomplete files and make the movie playable. Instead of downloading it all over again.
