I use Creative Webcam Instant and the creative webcam center software for it. I'm currently trying to record videos with sound but it doesn't work. When I try to record a video with sound this message pops up,
" Unable to capture video. Please check that you have sufficient space on your hard disk and the following are set correctly:
- Video compressor
- Audio compressor"

Once that pops up in order to use the software I have to restart it. When I try to record without sound it records the video perfectly fine. I do have the sound option on in the settings. The audio decive is Intel(r) Integrated Audio and the audio format is 8,000 Hz, 16 bits, stereo.

I really don't know much about computers so I honestly have no idea why it's not working. I've tried finding different freeware but I really haven't found anything thats good. Plus my computer is really old and isn't the greatest. I'm trying to figure it all out because I just moved and want to send videos to the fam. If you have any suggestions the help would be greatly appreciated.

tnx

Hi,

The Creative software doesn't support WMV formats very well.

Change the capture settings to AVI and it'll work. I believe it is TOOLS, SETTINGS, CAPTURE to get to the right screen to make the change.

I hope this helps. :D
