I'm trying to remove the protection from some BBC iPlayer WMV files. I've tried all the various freeme2 (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/freeme2-freeware-lossless-DRM-remover-for-Windows-Media-WMV-WMA-files.htm) type programs but have given up trying to get them to play nicely with WMP. I've also tried WM Capture (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/WM-Capture-screen-video-capture-software-that-records-with-high-quality.htm) 2 but wasn't blown away with the video quality (mostly on motion scenes).

Then I found the demo of Daniusoft Media Converter (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/Daniusoft-Digital-Media-Converter-Convert-copy-protected-WMA-WMV-M4A-M4V.htm) (tried Tunebite (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/TuneBite-Convert-DRM-protected-WMV-M4P-M4V-video-WMA-AAC-M4B-AA-music-audio-books-preserving-ID3-tags.htm) but no video conversion in trial). This appears to work great, except where my input videos look 16:9, the output always looks squashed and looks 4:3. Has anyone experienced this? Also, is video conversion faster than real-time or does it have to play the video as it converts (difficult to tell on a 1 minute trial)?

As a small update - I notice the same video squashing effect if I lower the hardware acceleration in Windows. I assume Daniusoft is doing something along these lines in order to record the video!

Daniusoft Digital Media Converter (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/Daniusoft-Digital-Media-Converter-Convert-copy-protected-WMA-WMV-M4A-M4V.htm) is a piece of crap. It can't remove DRM protection from BBC iPlayer files.

Just re-record BBC iPlayer videos with screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/). It is that simple!

Hi, I have just bought this program and I am having the same problem. I start off with a 16:9 programme and end up with a 4:3 programme which is un-watchable.

I am in contact now with Daniusoft as I write this.

I paid 30.00 GBP for this program and it now seems that it can not cope with the BBC iPlayer.

In settings if you change zoom to 16:9 you will end up with a 4:3 picture letterbox version.

Having said this it may be that BBC iPlayer is not true wide screen 16:9 anamorphic.
