I am looking for a CLI tool to create video contact sheets. moviethumbnail (http://moviethumbnail.sourceforge.net/) is exactly what I'm looking for, except for the fact that is fails with some media, probably because it's an old compilation with an outdated ffmpeg.
Are there any alternatives? Working on both Windows and Linux is a plus, but I only actually need Linux.
