Hello guys,
Is there any way to sniff streaming url's or sites from an IPTV box? Infact, monitoring IPTV box using PC.There might be something that can help us to do that but I have no idea. IPTV box is connected to ethernet, hdmi cable and power cord. Is there any possibility?
Thanks

run a packet sniffer or urlsnooper to see what comes up.
are you using any service like hulu on your tv?

No, I'm not using Hulu or something like that. It streams live TV channels via internet. It also plays youtube videos. Since it is not connected to PC how can I run those programs and capture the packets?

i guess you'd have to make your computer act as a proxy server , connect the tv to your computer, which is then connected to the internet.
you can also sniff packets on your network if you use a hub which redirects packets.
but basically i've not heard of iptv much and it might be quite difficult to find the stream info or record it.

Yes I use hub. And I tried wireshark to sniff packets but didn't find anything with rtmp or any streaming links. How to analyze the wireshark packet log? Modem is connected to hub and is connected to streaming box. So, please need a guide.
Thanks
