I'm trying to capture a stream from the camsite www.liveprivates.com (http://www.liveprivates.com) (during a private show after gaining consent although I test the program in free zone obviously). Would anyone know how to do it. Seems to be an http stream - also when i right click the video it say adobe flash player setting (do you have camera). However WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm), as suggested by the site, does not detect. Thanks for any pointers.

WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) is a recommended stream recording software (http://all-streaming-media.com/faq/recording-media-stream/faq-best-streaming-media-recorders.htm). But it is not an ultimate stream recorder. As any other stream recording software it can't record all streams formats available.
Most streams can be captured with WM Recorder + Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm).
liveprivates.com offers RTMP flash .FLV video streams (at least for free adult video chats). Please read the following guide to learn how to capture them:
How to record/download/capture/save Macromedia/Adobe Flash .FLV video RTMP stream from embedded player (http://all-streaming-media.com/faq/recording-media-stream/faq-record-download-capture-save-flash-flv-video-rtmp.htm)
Although I like Replay Media Catcher more than any other flash RTMP recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-Adobe-Flash-FLV-videos.htm), for web-sites like this it is better to use FLV Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/FLV-Recorder-flash-video-stream-recording-software.htm).
Replay Media Catcher creates a separate downloading thread and you can be detected because you can't click onto the Pause button in a video chat. And FLV Recorder just captures packets coming to your PC.

Your knowledge on the subject is spellbinding, thanks a lot.

I'm not sure flv player works. Ive copied the shortcut URL into the box and then it appears in playlist window with a cross (Ive chosen the correct adapter).

Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) doesn't show complete rtmp:// stream URLs, so it is hard to get them from it.
Just record your stream and then use any FLV player (http://all-streaming-media.com/faq/media-players/faq-play-Flash-video-flv-files.htm). I prefer to use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

Bit confused. Have you tried this program on this site very recently. I read that the stream was impossible to record. I have Replay AV (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-AV-capture-Streaming-Video-Audio-Radio-Shows-Online-TV-Broadcasts-Video-Clips-Audio-Archives-Podcasts-Free-to-try.htm) on trial and it almost defintely doesn't work.

What program exactly were you talking about? Where did you read this? Was it an old thread?
I have replay a/v on trial and it almost defintely doesnt work.
Replay AV (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-AV-capture-Streaming-Video-Audio-Radio-Shows-Online-TV-Broadcasts-Video-Clips-Audio-Archives-Podcasts-Free-to-try.htm) doesn't support RTMP streams.
You should use Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) or FLV Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/FLV-Recorder-flash-video-stream-recording-software.htm) as mentioned above. Both have free trial versions so you don't have to buy them before making sure they work for you.
