Ok, Im trying to use Camtasia Studio 3.1.2

Everything is fine except it will not let me record any audio unless I hook up a microphone (which i would rather not do due to quality)

When I run the program it says its unable to automatically detect my audio.

Im using an up to date Toshiba laptop with Realtek HD audio.
WinXP Duo Core blah blah

Someone Help PLEASE!!! i cant find any info anywhere!!

You should allow Wave/MP3 recording in your AudioCard settings and disable your mic. Have you checked your audio recording settings?

I have the same problem. I have a Toshiba A110 with a built in Realtek card. I can't record audio / streaming and it doesn't have line in / wave options.

Do I need an external card?

Thanks for reading

I've got the same problem and Stream's advice sounds good. Can someone tell me how I can disable my mic and allow Wave/Mp3 recording?

I have an Intel motherboard with Intel Audio Studio, but I can use Windows Mixer (Microsoft Volume Control) on my Windows XP SP2. And I can enable or manage WAVE, MIC or whatever other settings needed with it. Can't you guys use it?
