@denobis,

hello.

I want to access the url (http://tvcast.naver.com/v/174046) directly via browser, but I won't be able to (country restriction).
However, via rtmpdump I can do that, which is really great.

Your post here (http://stream-recorder.com/forum/showpost.php?p=66702&postcount=4) really helps and it works like a charm.

However, the output is very lagging and it's not a smooth playback at all. My connection is 100Mbps though, if it matters.

The 720p option is different (not rtmp, but http via a software)..
Is it also possible to download the HD version?

this is the xml file (https://www.dropbox.com/s/c6dceqtoff3h06m/naver.xml), for reference.

Really appreciate any of your help.

THanks.

When I try download videos from CR, it never completes.
Download will stop at some point in midway. (Speed MB/s is still running, but % and file size do not increase, so it stopped.)

Fyi, I can stream smoothly from beginning to end with my browser. So network should be fine.
Does this program use proxy?
Why do you think my download stops?

(P.S: Its using rtmp protocol)

thank you :)

I've noticed that when the connection get lost rtmpdump refuses to continue (-e) the stream (that explains why the download stucks), so you have to reinit the download. Normally the download completes.

Now the subtitles are stored with the same name as the mp4 inside the downloads folder, so when you play the stream the subtitles are showed automatically, at least with vlc. I've tried to soft-incrustation of the subtitles but ffmpeg refuses to make and the hard-incrust lasts too much. I can implement it but you must wait more time.

you're spot on. reinit does smoothen the download. however, no option to DL 720p? only the lowest and the highest which is 1080p.

so i am speaking to the author of program? what an honor. thank you so much :D

for subtitle, maybe can make in another format (.srt/.ass/.ssa)

then soft-caption sub to video using mkvmerge.
