I have been trying to download from thedailyshow.com using StreamTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/StreamTransport-Download-HTTP-RTMP-RTMPE-streams.htm). Most of the times it has been unsuccessful. I try to download the video but it just stays at 0%. Also the video never load on StreamTransport integrated explorer, it just keeps flashing the "video loading" and the replay screen over and over. I assumed that this was because the program couldn't save it, but the I'm not sure how I was able to save a video. I tried to save it again but I couldn't this time.

I didn't have any problems downloading this RTMPE stream with StreamTransport (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/StreamTransport-Download-HTTP-RTMP-RTMPE-streams.htm) and capturing it with CooJah (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Blader-freeware-RTMP-downloader.htm)

Try to watch / download / capture this stream without Hotspot Shield.

I know it is more than a year but I did not want to start a new tread for the same problem. Shortly after I posted the first time I got everything to work using rtmpdump. Everything was fine until today, when I try to download a file and rtmpdump says it can not access the server. Fine, I tried various sniffers but nothing worked. I also tried StreamTransport, Blader, GetFLV and NetTransport but all of them failed. Except for GetFLV which found the stream but failed to download. I tried downloading the stream with rtmpdump but it gave me the original error, that it can not connect to the server. I have no idea what happened, it was working fine a month ago and now nothing seems to be working.

Seems Your firewall (or antivirus) prevents your rtmpdump to connect to the server!! according to:

I thought that so I disabled both my firewall and anti-virus but still nothing. Also I tried TubeDigger and it does download. Could you give me some type of step by step to see if I am doing something wrong.
