I am trying out a free dvd converting program. I want to use my old DVDs with iTunes and ATV 3, say to convert them into the *.m4v format. It worked but I did not figure out how to upscale its resolution to 1280*720 instead of sticking to the genuine DVD-resolution 720*576.
Is there a software which achieves my task.

Hi, google DVD ripping program, you will find plenty of DVD ripping programs. And some of them allow you customize output video resolution as you desire. What you need is such a program. I looked around and also tested several DVD programs. I was impressed by a program named Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper. This program has a “Settings” button which allows users to set output video resolution, bitrate and frame rate as you wish. Therefore, you can set output .m4v video resolution to 1280*720. This program may give you a hand. BTW, I like this program because of its feature of exporting Dolby digital pass through video for my Apple TV 3. It is really a nice experience to enjoy 5.1 audio movies in my home theater.
