The problem is that the HDS Link Detector doesn't react when I open the link (with other sites the detector works fine). So how can I get the manifest to download it?

That content appears to use rtmp. Use youtube-dl (http://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/), which supports bbc iplayer. It passes the dl parameters to rtmpdump.

You can use atresdownloader too, but for akamai connections you need to be inside uk

Unfortunately I don't live in the UK, so I've tried out youtube-dl.

But that one doesn't work: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden.

With atresdownloader you can download bbc streams but only limelight connections if you are outside

Thank you. I've installed the programm and then I've put there the link of the video. The programme can find the video, but doesn't download it.

Where can I select "limelight streams"?

Do I have to do a login?

Just what i've said, for akamai you need vpn to uk, if not you must select only limelight
