I downloaded the new zip as stated above. I entered my credentials, hulu url, hit search. After a few seconds the app closes. Is there an English transition to this app? Or is there some user guide that I can read? I am just not getting anything and it is hard for me to follow not being in English.

Delete the file login.txt and rerun. Check permissions and your firewall/antivirus. I've checked the same process above and all went good.

Check also the following:

-version 14.3
-the program install normally (no error message)
-in folder tools the following files: rtmpdump.exe with size 197.632. Doubleclick and check if works
-Dont change manually the file login.txt, go step by step as stated

Move the entire folder to another location (not My Documents)

Tested in windows 7,8 x32 x64

Finally, download this new a3win

Hulu have incorporated captcha authentication, so now the login dont works. But you can anyway get the streams as guest, so delete login.txt and dont enter any login.

sometimes Hulu requests you the captcha, but now seems it's working good. Advise: hulu+ requires a valid plus subscription, don't expect the max quality if not.

I guess actually my problem is not everything has/is downloading. I have deleted everything and re-extracted the a3toMP4v14.3.zip to my desktop again. Looks like it is downloading the tools needed and gets stuck and nothing else downloads. Here is the log file from first time of re-running after unzipping again:

Yes, it seems nothing is downloaded, so there is a problem. Check folder tools and see whats there. Check firewall and reduce security, better for testing turn it off with antivir too. Give a3win admin permissions. Tell me if it works. f

I ran a3win as Administrator, turned off both the firewall and antivirus. Still doesn't download everything. Here is the contents of the tools folder:

Thank you denobis! I actually just downloaded rtmpdump.exe and extracted it into the tools directory. The rtmp.zip was corrupt for me no matter how many times I tried to download. either way, it works now! Hulu plus, pulling the quality I want. Thank you so much!

I saw while using a3toMP4v14.3.zip that there was an update. I downloaded a3toMP4v14.4.zip, extracted and ran the app. I keep getting "No se pudo loguear Hulu" message. I google that translation and I believe that I cannot log into hulu? Or hulu cannot be blocked? I got both in googles translations. Regardless, I can still use version a3toMP4v14.3, log in correctly but cannot download 720p versions of files. Which If I understood the update message that your program popped up, that is why the update was created. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I need to make some changes? I have a huluplus account, verified and working. I also live in the US, does that mean by chance I need to make any changes?

I also was not able to have rtmp.zip download and extract either during download and install of everything. I copied rtmpdump.exe that I had previously downloaded directly and placed in tools directory into the new tools directory. Could this be part of my problem? Can you send me a link to the updated rtmp.zip file, or rtmpdump.exe that is used for the update?

Oh, ok. So a retry limit on restarting a video? Or logging into your hulu account period?

I can give that a try. I still cannot get rtmp.zip to download through your app. And I assume that it is pulling down a new version that I do not have and a newer version than I am finding online? Is there anyway you could send a direct link to the rtmp.zip file that is supposed to be downloaded, and or upload it somewhere for me? Or even sending a pm if that would be easier to discuss. Could always email it to me would be great!

OK, well I did what you mentioned above. I now am able to log into Hulu correctly. I paste in the url for the video, and hit the search to get the video download options and it starts to process and everything just closes. I took a video capture of my desktop to show what I mean.

I redownloaded a3win.ex_, changed to a3win.exe. I cleared the log file, started it back up, changed drop box to hulu, changed drop box to no proxy, hit search and it flashed away when "Advanced rtmp info detection..." starts to occur.

I do have rtmpdump.exe that you suggested above re-copied into the tools folder. 100% it is there. Even attempted the rtmpdump.exe that is in the tools folder of a3toMP4v14.3, which everything works.

Well that did work, well up until the point of starting the download. I think I have run into the 30 minute timeout/wait limit from Hulu that you spoke about earlier. But I do get to the point where I select the download I want, it looks like it starts, but just sits there and doesn't download anything. It does create the download file with a file size of zero! SO I will give it another try in 30+ minutes and let you know.

I never got a chance to try last night. I did this morning. Using a3win.exe and overwrite the 14.3 It gets to the point where I choose with video stream to capture, but nothing ever downloads. Just sits for ever and nothing happens.

I redownloaded the zip, extracted, and let run to download everything. For the first time it actually downloaded and extracted rtmp.zip->rtmpdump.exe correctly. Now when I run it and input the url my credentials for hulu if I use the no proxy option, it starts to collect the rtmp stream, then the programs exits on its own. Just that that video clip I posted yesterday. If I use the proxies online, it sits there and never does anything. Keeps trying to go from proxy to proxy. <--This is what I used to do with version 14.3, but now that doesn't work for me at all in any version :-(

I installed atres downloader on XP and now it works, including on 3100000 bitrate. I had neglected to change the drop-down box to "Hulu" from the default.

Is there an option to save the virgin .flv file from rtmpdump, rather than mp4 remux with the subtitle file muxed in?

Edit: I just noticed that the saved file is in .flv container, just the default naming suggestion set it to .mp4 extension.

In fact you have just flv with mp4 extension. The captions are soft-coded so you can extract them. You dont need to recode to get the flv nor it's necessary to download the stream in flv format. You can see with a hex editor the stream headers.

It runs pretty reliably. The only issue with an occasional crash is during subtitle decryption, otherwise it is stable.

I tried on a new Windows 7 machine and an XP machine this morning. Still nothing. I can take a video capture of the issues, but with using the proxies online, app just closes when gathering metadata. When using no proxy it just does nothing. I think everything is downloaded and installed correctly from the zip file/install.

CBS and Fox are supported, the first one through rtmp (without login) and the second with hls ios (m3u8). But i've repaired a few bugs now and the v15 possibly fails at the moment with these sites. Remember always that i work with proxies so i don't know how can this function in absence of them. Fox it's very precise in detecting proxies so many times you must repeat the search to obtain the links, but at the end it works.

Using online proxy, the program freezes, and when I use a vpn, and change settings to no proxy, the video can't be found?

if you're not plus subscriber but only a registered user you will have access only to the free streams. If you think something went wrong please delete the hulu.cookie too, but at the end the relevant it's the real access you have to the streams.

The last few days V15 keeps freezing on Hulu too :(

When I use V14.5, it get the links, but in a different way like
rt_darwin-level3 x1001790 instead of the name of the episode included

When I try to download it, it doesn't start anymore, while before it immediatly picked up and downloaded with 2MBps

It seems that hulu delivers their streams through different platforms or cdns. For now programs like http://www.hulu.com/watch/609588 shows darwin-edgecast which is downloadable, but in other cases (the same video shows darwin level3 and limelight) i dont know. Even seems that when you use proxy the results are different so you must try several times cause the proxy used it's different each search.

It may seem like hulu is playing cdn roulette, but I suspect that their systems are currently in the midst of migration. It seems like older content is more likely to still be on edgecast. In one test today, the xml playlist (after decryption) had 15 items in the playlist with various qualities and cdn locations! This is unusual. In any case, my guess is that swfvfy v2 will be the rule rather than the exception going forward.

The program checks if the cookie hulu.cookie is still alive so if you experience disonances delete it and make a fresh login. In any case the program downloads the hulu plus subscription higher qualities, for the moment. Swf verificiation 2 remains a desideratum, i'm studying it but it's not a thing you make in a while.

For now my only option is TubeDigger in Rec+ Mode to get episodes, but it takes a lot of time, and mostly the episodes are out of sync :(

It seems like there's no more free software that can download anything from Hulu, let alone Hulu Plus. I've been keeping an eye on ATRES, ChrisPC, AVGO, and StreamTransport for updated software, but so far there's been nothing yet.

Supposedly GetFLV still works. And indeed, when I last tried the free version (v. 9.6.3.9), it did download the first 30 MB (or however much the free version is limited to - I forget). I can't speak to the pay version, but at least one person has noted (http://stream-recorder.com/forum/getflv-troubleshooting-many-problems-gflv-p67347.html) that the entire video doesn't get downloaded.

Hopefully there are other pay GetFLV users who can comment on their experiences....

Yeah, I found FreeRapid Downloader by mistake during a search before Hulu went and changed up everything on us. I actually downloaded several movies and TV shows. You have to put your credentials in like Atresdownloader by going to the Hulu plug-in settings. Choose highest quality and it will download the HD 720 3000BR Stream by default. You can also download subtitles as there is a check option for that. I never did so I cannot confirm it works.

Thanks, repped. That's what I thought I needed to do, but for some reason, I'm not getting consistent results when logging in from within GetFLV. Sometimes it logs in properly, but sometimes it doesn't. Not sure why that happens. I think I need to adjust my Internet Explorer's security settings.

I have figured out how to download 3200BR stream from Hulu Plus using Getflv, I will not reveal in the open forum. This is very easy to do if you just read previous posts and experiment. There is a clue in a recent post that will unlock the 3200BR stream. I cannot reveal as that will alert Hulu.

Well that would explain why I never encountered 3200. I thought the Hulu Desktop was something that Hulu discontinued a long, long time ago and never used it.

I think it's driven by fear. People are afraid that if they reveal too much, their method will stop working, so they'd rather keep it to themselves and continue downloading rather than helping others. I have no doubt that Hulu watches this forum. It also doesn't help that links aren't anonymized when we click on them, so every streaming site knows when traffic from here is coming their way.

I've been trying to get the 3100K files with getflv but it's very hit and miss. Sometimes they download fine, other times it doesn't even show in the download list. And after about 10 minutes, Hulu always stops working and brings up the error message:

thanks for you quick reply. I have tried the trial ver, looks like the output is hardsubbed video..? I am not sure since I think they suppose to close-caption sub to their stream.

If a video is hardsubbed on Hulu, then of course the video that you download will be hardsubbed too. I was talking about external subtitle files in my previous reply. (I actually thought you were too. :p)

It might help if you post a link so we can examine the video.

exactly i was thinking they are ext sub files too. but the result from getflv is hardsubbed.

I haven't seen that happen personally. Are you sure you didn't set GetFLV to re-encode the video after downloading it? Maybe it is doing something with the subtitle file during the re-encoding process (I have no idea whether or not it has this kind of capability since I have never used GetFLV for re-encoding).

Again, it would help if we could see what video you are downloading.

it'll download some of them

You're doing better than me. I've had the program for about two weeks and never been able to download anything with a hulu plus account.

sorry to say but getflv was one of the worst programs I've ever used. It was so hit and miss with hulu (forget the + part) and to top it off lol I have to renew my subscription to them again to use their program? I dropped $60 bucks on a program for a year that barely worked at best. At that rate I'd rather just screen capture and deal with it.

I've had GetFLV since 2014. It has always worked for me. If it didn't, it was usually fixed within a few weeks.

This STOPPED in April, and even though the developers seem to put out a new release once or twice a week, the product just doesn't work for Hulu streams anymore. Period.

I was happy with the product and satisfied. Now I am angry at them.

Forget them as a possibility.

Now, that being said... is there ANY product out there that can reliably capture Hulu streams in a Windows environment?

As far as I know, there is n other program at this time that can download from Hulu. They have implemented a new DRM encryption to their videos. So,:( we all hope GETFLV authors will soon release a version that will fix the Hulu situation.:(
