I download SWF flash files from algebra.com with Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm), but I wasn't able to play them.
I'm not sure whether it is possible to play SWF files from this web-site, or to convert them to other videos, or to extract videos from SWF files.
But you can always use screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) to record anything you can see on your screen.

Oh, great. And you can actually copy .SWF files from the cache of your browser.
For whatever reason I can't play them. I can move the slider of Media Player Classic and see the video and nothing else... I tried several other players to no avail.

i dont know, make sure you have latest version of MPC
i can watch it but you have to slide a few frames from the start
so do you have any idea why it wont play? is it something wrong with the downloader? or the player?

Hard to say honestly, could be encrypted...could just be bad luck.
i was able to record And play back, however, using a few Screen Capture (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) programs, however...

SWF file is not a video file, so you might have problems playing it. However you can try to decompile SWF files to extract audio/video,...
thats what im thinking! it could be encrypted, or just a matter of software bug. i guess...
